I have been called upon, (on

medical grounds, to retire from the service, of the Hong Kong Police Force, as from the 6th of April,1919.
You will probably know that I was severely wounded at the battle of Cambrai, in November 1917, and remained in hospital until my final discharge from H. M. Forces on the 6th January 1919
I have served in the Hong Kong Police Force from the 30th September 1908, the day of my arrival there until the present day.
Under my agreement I think I am entitled to a pension or gratuity for my services under the Hong Kong Government during that period.
Will you please let me know if this is so, and to what amount I shall be entitled to.
Because being a disabled man, I should like to make a fresh start, as
